Site details

1500 parking bays, in two levels.
6 outdoors 200mm Numeric displays
17 ZoneBuffers
3 BlockBuffers
110 Indicator combiners
12 Power supplies
ControlRoom Software

Due to the site geometry and the use if indicator combiners, a split system is used.

For the first time we are employing indicator combiners, combining 2 to 4 parking bays to a single space indicator. This is done in cases of series parking as per the following illustration:

Motivation

image009.jpgThe system is required for a few reasons as follows:

Guidance

Due to its prime location, business and residential, and its target customers, the site is expected to be full during mid day and evenings. Proper guidance will stream the parking process and will give customers more usable time in the center.

Series parking management

Approximately 300 bays are designed as series bays. The Diamond Parking Guidance System offers an easy to implement solution to manage such design.

ParkSistem

Watergarden management selected the Diamond Parking Guidance System mainly due to its high accuracy, low cost, low power and the integrated indicator combiners.

ParkSistem, our Turkish partner is currently busy with the installation. Proud Fikret of ParkSistem is pointing at the entrance sign below:

Conclusion

Accurate occupancy information will guide approaching drivers and will reduce parking search time and effort.
Occupancy statistics will give the management a tool to make an informed decision on overbooking policies.
